One of my favorite camp grounds is at Deception Pass. I grew up on Whidbey Island and when you grow up somewhere beautiful, you normally do not realize how great it is, until you get older.
Even though it was early in the season, it was beautiful. The plus was the camp ground was not very full. We had a site that normally would be surrounded by others, but we had a pretty private trip.
This was also the first time we had a plug-in heater. I always felt it was sort of cheating using a heater in the camper, but I also wanted to extend the time of year I could comfortably camp. We used an older space heater we had for our bathroom and having it was a success, but the thermostat didn’t work, which meant waking up when it got too hot and too cold.
So once I got home, I did quite a bit of research and got a small, light, and retro looking Hunter 1500-watt heater. So far, I have only tested it in the apartment, but so far I am very excited to try it out again.
